DAY 03 - LAST DAY IN SINGAPORE

It’s our third and our last day in SINGAPORE, what else to do but cram on the things we can push before the day ends.
First things first, you can’t go to SINGAPORE without taking a picture of their trademark structure, the MERLION.  Located at the MARINA BAY waterfront, this half fish half lion tourist structure was mounted in 1972, since then it was moved from different places until it finds its home at the MERLION PARK MARINA BAY after 30 years in 2002.
Well that’s the only info I could share, check out the pictures I take hopefully it makes you see what I see, a structure that represents the countries power, SINGAPORE the LION CITY.

Next destination is SINGAPORE’s famous MARINA BAY SANDS, if MALAYSIA has the TWIN TOWER which is amazing to see specially at night, SINGAPORE has this three building met by seems to be a large vessel at the top, the MARINA BAY SANDS is remarkable to see in the actual. This integrated resort fronting the MARINA BAY was developed by LAS VEGAS SANDS and billed as the most expensive standalone casino property that cost 8 BILLION S$.
Truly my friend has to stop me taking pictures of the structure, how I wish my PHILIPPINES will soon have a structure like this to boost, well since the economy is rising its possible.

It seems like the PYRAMID of tour but these three famous structures are just close to one another, lastly we ride the SINGAPORE FLYER.  Dubbed as tallest observation wheel in the world taller that LONDON’s famous LONDON EYE, this famous structure are constructed within 2005-2008 and has the seating capacity of 784, completed in MARCH 01, 2008 and open for a sold out seat on APRIL 15, 2008.
Since this is the world’s tallest ferries wheel or observational wheel as WIKI assign it to be called, I decided to have my first hand experience, admittedly it was boring but eventually you will get the high of it once your at the very top, definitely things looks smaller when your high above everything else, it only turn once and the ride ends in less that 30 minutes.

At the very end of this last day, we do the much needed SHOPPING; I’m too busy bargaining so no time to take pictures.  Well if you’re curious what I bought, let me just say I’m collecting shoes so my luggage back home definitely includes this.  And at every country I go to I collect their famous structure, this time I’m getting the miniature of MERLION.  P.S.  if your shopping in SINGAPORE, check out BUGIS and CHINATOWN for bargain hunting and if you have the money for expensive stuff ORCHARD ROAD is your destination.

So that’s it, my tiring and very rewarding trip at SINGAPORE, admittedly I fell in love with the country and hope to come back there again, high point is that the country is really clean and beautiful with places you can never get tired of going and discovering, I read in a magazine once that you can never get lost in SINGAPORE cause there’s always places to discover and that’s true, low point would be the prices, I don’t know but when you go to a country with a higher currency than yours, it seems everything was pricey and expensive which in SINGAPORE it’s a definite fact.  THANKS and till my next TRAVEL...

LOVE your KAPWA,
KRiS GIMENA
