DAY 01 - UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

Well finally I’m here to share my TRIP to SINGAPORE; I spend three fun filled days in SINGAPORE and let me divide this post into three sections covering the first day to the third in individual post.

To prelude, its actually my third visit in the country, the first time was with my boyfriend where we didn't do much for both of us were first time traveler, the second time was just a transit where I only spend four hours in the airport and finally this time where I get to go around the country and discover what SINGAPORE has to offer.  I originally plan to stay a week but with the high cost of living and prices where a bottled water cost 2 S$ (Singaporean Dollar) each, I think 3 days would be expensive enough, LOL.

But you can’t put a price to experience and memories it will leave behind that’s why I probably spend the same amount of a week's travel in that short 3 days stay, and it was money well spent.

To start off my SINGAPORE trip, I enter the famous UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE…

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE opened in MARCH 18, 2010 it fully operated on MAY 28, 2011, it feats in its first 9 months attracting 2 MILLION visitors, a record in theme park history.  The theme park promises that it will be the only one of its kind in SOUTHEAST ASIA for the next 30 YEARS.

Now that statement probably make you wanna go and experience this one of a kind theme park.  But before you do here’s some pictures and my personal experience going to the theme park.

The THEME PARK is segregated in 7 stories, mostly theme by UNIVERSAL STUDIOS popular movies, you will be welcome by the revolving globe where its title rings revolves around it, here people usually take pictures and mostly crowded as ever.  The theme park is open all year round and it’s been said that it’s always a full house no matter what month of the year, mostly crowded on the specific holidays and the summer season.  The entrance fee is quite expensive at 74S$ that’s 2442 PESOS according to my money conversion app, but it was money well spent.  There’s an add on to get an EXPRESS PASS where you don’t need to line up to get to the rides, but that’s unnecessary knowing its not the peak season, frugal people believe waiting is a virtue oh cheapskate correct me its patience, LOL.

The first STORY of the theme park that will welcome you is MADAGASCAR it’s a children’s ride that’s quite fun and a good start cause it’s relax and easy.  I would like to show some pictures but its so timing that we came to the park when it’s raining, so I rather take mental pictures rather than damage my camera for the rest of the trip.

Here you need to ride a boat and inside the retelling of the animated film and at the very end of the ride there’s a wet surprise that awaits you.

The second story is the 4D adventure of SHREK in the FAR FAR AWAY KINGDOM, 4D experience is almost like 3D the difference is that it seems your one with what’s happening in the movie, the chairs are moving and at some point you will get wet when the character sneeze.  The adventure is about saving FIONA and fighting the evil ghost of the short villain.

Thankfully it’s not raining anymore when we enter THE LOST WORLD, and it’s kinda ironic because it’s a wet ride and we just evade the rain, so we bought a plastic raincoat to protect our clothes in the ride.  Here you will ride a boat as it twist and turn in a alley of wild water, its fun and definitely will soak you wet in the end.

ANCIENT EGYPT is for those who love the ghost of the mummies, I love THE MUMMY movie so I’m kinda excited with what’s there for me.  Well no surprise here as you will enter a roller coasted ride in full darkness where loud sound of ghost and flashes of light scare the hell out of you.

I generally love the outside façade of this part of the theme park, it’s like you’re in EGYPT with the statue relics.

SCI-FI is not intended for the weak of heart, it’s a double roller coaster ride where I took the challenge and rode with my eyes close all the way, seriously I think my eyes will fell out if I open it with the rush and excitement.

THE TRANSFORMERS ride would probably be my favorite ride of all, it’s a 4D experience where it feels like your part of the elite group saving the world, the sound and the effects will excite and amaze you.

NEW YORK and HOLLYWOOD are for those who love the movies, I personally was like in heaven being in this place, it’s my euphoria.  Walking in the streets where it happens, the magic of HOLLYWOOD or the replica of it, but who cares.  I think I already said it a million times that I love SEX and the CITY, there’s a replica of CARRIE’s apartment there and I think I took like a hundred pictures there pretending to be hailing a cab.

So all in all it was definitely a theme park of dreams, I enjoy and love the experience and I recommend it to anyone who will visit SINGAPORE, for the young and young at heart…
