TV: ASIA’s NEXT TOP MODEL ( WEEK 13 - FINALE )

I know this UPDATE is really really late but since I started the ASIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL post I probably should finish it so here it was the GRAND FINALE.  Do you need a recap?  Well to shorten it up 6 foot SOFIA (JAPAN) turns out to be too tall for booking as she zero out the GO-SEE and caused her the elimination.  STEPHANIE (PHILIPPINES) make history as the contestant in TOP MODEL history who linger at the BOTTOM TWO 5 times, would it be better if she also made another history and WIN in the end, hmmmp.

OK i'm kinda in a hurry so lets push this RECAP, the girls do their CANON commercial to see their personality and model skills in a moving picture, too bad this isn't a challenge cause STEPHANIE rocks her commercial being the most personable from the three.

Later the girls were set for a PHOTO SHOOT where they prep up in an EXPENSIVE CHANNEL for their HARPER'S BAZAAR cover shoot.  KATE (TAIWAN) was first in her tight dress that restrict her to move much, it turns out OK but the fashion director wasn't that satisfied.  STEPHANIE’s photo shoot was a mess according to KENNETH GOH the fashion director, he even compromise with a close up picture even if the magazine require a whole body angle.  And JESSICA as always rocks the PHOTO SHOOT, KENNETH was finale satisfied.

In the end of the PHOTO SHOOT the girls were surprise by their love ones, JESSICA’s boyfriend, STEPHANIE’s boyfriend and father to her child and KATE’s hot BRAZILIAN brother, LOL.

RUNWAY was STEPHANIE’s field so I was hoping my hometown girl will rock this part of the finale, and she did everyone was astound by her professional walk, KATE on the other hand gave a common model walk and JESSICA was a good second having a dramatic walk.

In the RUNWAY and FINALE PANEL the creator of the show TYRA BANKS was the special guess, doing the show for 19 cycles now, I know she will help crowning the very first ASIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

 The PANEL didn't like KATE’s commercial saying its not believable, her runway wasn't also that good she’s even tagged as the roller skate KATE, and the judges is in the middle with her photo shoot, NADYA say its beautiful but not high fashion but TYRA like it cause she covers all the angles.

STEPHANIE’s commercial were loved by the PANEL, it’s believable and likable, her runway was the same though it’s a little shaky and dance like but a little training would improve, the photo shoot as always killed her chance as KENNETH need to compromise for her to get a beautiful shot, still its not cover material since HARPER’S BAZAAR have a cover size pattern, TYRA advised her to model from H2T.

JESSICA’s commercial doesn't impress the PANEL, her dramatic runway on the other hand make an impact when she reveal her back on that seductive dress she wore, and as always her photo shoot rocks as KENNETH says she make the expensive clothes more expensive.

Though the issue here is that JESSICA was already 27 and that’s a late age for modeling.

Clearly KATE was the third runner up when the PANEL discuss for the winner, the choice is between STEPHANIE and JESSICA.  The judges were in the middle on this, the guys vote for JESSICA being consistent through out the show while the girls vote for STEPHANIE.  TYRA even compare the two models, STEPHANIE as the model NOUN (looks like a model but needs training) and JESSICA as the VERB (have innate model skills).  Well that’s my definition of TYRA’s VERB vs. NOUN.

In the END clearly we know the winner, ruling the competition with 9 top three best picture, 4 challenge win and 4 best photo JESSICA is the deserving winner and the very first ASIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.
